How old must my child be to enter your program?
You child must be age appropriate by our October 1st deadline. (age three by 10/1/2017 for Pre K 3, age four by 10/1/2017) Are there any exceptions?
No. Do we have to be residents of River Edge in order for my child to attend?
Yes, you must be a resident of River Edge in order to enroll in our Pre K program. Is this a free pre k program?
Our Integrated Pre K is tuition based. The annual tuition for 3 year olds will be $2550. and $3130. for our 4 year old program for the 2017-18 year. What are the hours of the program?
Our Pre K 3 program meets on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday mornings from 9-11:15am.
The Pre K 4 program meets on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday afternoons from 12:15-2:30pm. What is an Integrated Pre K program?
This program is a general education pre-school that includes students with disabilities. How many children will you accept in this program? We accept 8 children in the Pre K 3 program. We currently only have 1 opening for our Pre K 4 program. What if more than 8 people register?
In the event that more applications are submitted than we have spots for, we will conduct a lottery. What are the chances of my child getting into the lottery?
It depends on the number of applications submitted. What is the next step, if my child’s name is selected?
You will need to follow the steps on our website to complete the registration process. Additional proofs of residency, a non-refundable deposit, and required paperwork need to be submitted by the deadline. Can I speak with anyone about specific questions I have?
A parent information session will be held on Wednesday, March 1st, at 1pm in the New Bridge Center Conference Room. If my child is in the Pre K 3 program, are they automatically enrolled in the Pre K 4 program the following year?
Yes, you will be given the first opportunity to join us for the Pre K 4 program. What if my child’s name is not selected in the lottery?
We would be happy to place your child on our waiting list. If any spots open up at any point during the year, we will contact you. How many teachers/aides are in the room?
There is one certified teacher and at least one additional classroom aide at all times. What is the curriculum like?
This program uses the Curiosity Corner Curriculum which takes thematic topics and blends them into many cross-curricular areas such as reading, writing, art, music, and gross motor movement. Does my child have to be toilet trained prior to them entering the program?
Children are encouraged to be toilet trained, since this essential skill promotes independence in all schools.
