Sixth graders, true to their roles as hosts, demonstrated admirable curiosity and respect by asking insightful questions to learn more about the veterans' experiences. The event reached its pinnacle at Veterans Memorial Park, where the community gathered to hear from distinguished speakers, including representatives from the American Legion, VFW and town officials. John Casey Voss, Constituent Advocate for Senator Cory Booker, presented a letter from Senator Booker paying honor to veterans. The students showcased their commitment to honoring the veterans with a rendition of the National Anthem and a recitation of The American’s Creed.
